For me the 2006 vintage for Barolo is one not to be ignored. Some say it’s a classic vintage and I have to agree. The weather, for the most part, was slightly warm in the days followed by cool evenings, which bodes well for the Nebbiolo grape. These growing conditions give the grape plenty of time to ripen slowly and evenly, allowing the acidity levels to reach near perfect levels.
